Deaf Awareness Training

We offer Deaf Awareness Presentations which are designed to teach how to interact with Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals. The training includes an overview of the characteristics of the Deaf community, Deaf culture, American Sign Language and issues commonly affecting Hard of Hearing individuals. The session will also include how and when to obtain the services of a qualified professional sign language interpreter as well as the "role" of the interpreter and all other interested parties. Community Presentations and Speakers Bureau
