We Won a Bowtie!

The inaugural Bowtie Awards presented by the Arts and Business Council were held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Wildhorse Salon to recognize area businesses who have given outstanding support to the arts community. Hearing Bridges, First Tennessee Bank, and Regions Bank were finalists in the Arts Partnership category with our agency taking home the bowtie trophy! The partnership began last year with an idea from development director, Tricia Musser, a reluctant performer in the cast of Act I’s Mikado. She, Eric Workman, and staff interpreter Beth Moss decided it was a great opportunity to provide interpreting and transcription for the performance and with support from Act I director, the collaboration has continued with great success. Thanks to all those who’ve attended the shows and we hope, with growing attendance, we’ll be able to do even more!
